وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ
3. And your Lord glorify
وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ
4. And your clothing purify
كَلَّا وَالْقَمَرِ
32. No! By the moon
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذْ أَدْبَرَ
33. And [by] the night when it departs
وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا أَسْفَرَ
34. And [by] the morning when it brightens,
قَالُوا لَمْ نَكُ مِنَ الْمُصَلِّينَ
43. They will say, "We were not of those who prayed,
لَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
1. I swear by the Day of Resurrection
وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ
2. And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection].
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
31. And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed.
يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا
7. They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread.
