وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُسْتَقِرٌّ
3. And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ
44. Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"?
وَدُّوا لَوْ تُدْهِنُ فَيُدْهِنُونَ
9. They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تَكُنْ كَصَاحِبِ الْحُوتِ إِذْ نَادَىٰ وَهُوَ مَكْظُومٌ
48. Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muhammad], and be not like the companion of the fish when he called out while he was distressed.
فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا
5. So be patient with gracious patience.
فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ
36. So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad],
عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ
37. [To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups?
وَاصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاهْجُرْهُمْ هَجْرًا جَمِيلًا
10. And be patient over what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا
24. So be patient for the decision of your Lord and do not obey from among them a sinner or ungrateful [disbeliever].
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ مُوسَىٰ
15. Has there reached you the story of Moses? -
