ثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِينَ
39. A company of the former peoples
وَثُلَّةٌ مِنَ الْآخِرِينَ
40. And a company of the later peoples.
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ
9. O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that - then those are the losers.
إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عِنْدَهُ أَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
15. Your wealth and your children are but a trial, and Allah has with Him a great reward.
أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
1. Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
