وَأَمَّا مَنْ بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ
8. But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
الَّذِي يُؤْتِي مَالَهُ يَتَزَكَّىٰ
18. [He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
وَإِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ
8. And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ
1. Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ
2. Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
3. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
