وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّاكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَايِشَ ۗ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ
And We have certainly established you upon the earth and made for you therein ways of livelihood. Little are you grateful.

(He it is Who did create you from a single soul…) [7:189] up to (… but are themselves created) [7:191].Said Mujahid: “Initially, all the children of Adam and Eve died in their infancy. And so, Satan whispered tothem: 'If a boy is born to you, call him 'Abd al-Harith [the slave of al-Harith]'. The name of Satan was, priorto that, al-Harith. Adam and Eve did as he asked them to do, hence the words of Allah, exalted is He: (Butwhen He gave unto them aright, they ascribed to Him partners in respect of that which He had giventhem…)”.
وَلَقَدْ مَكَّنَّـكُمْ فِى الاٌّرْضِ وَجَعَلْنَا لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَعَـيِشَ قَلِيلاً مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ
(10. And surely, We gave you authority on the earth and appointed for you therein livelihoods. Little thanks do you give.)
Allah reminds of His favor on His servants in that He made the earth a fixed place for dwelling, placed firm mountains and rivers on it and made homes and allowed them to utilize its benefits. Allah made the clouds work for them (bringing rain) so that they may produce their sustenance from them. He also created the ways and means of earnings, commercial activities and other professions. Yet, most of them give liltle thanks for this. Allah said in another Ayah,
وَإِن تَعُدُّواْ نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ لاَ تُحْصُوهَا إِنَّ الإنْسَانَ لَظَلُومٌ كَفَّارٌ
(And if you count the blessings of Allah,never will you be able to count them. Verily, man is indeed a wrongdoer, an ingrate.) 14:34

Kamu dapat membangun bangunan di atasnya, menggarap tanahnya dan memanfaatkannya dengan berbagai macam pemanfaatan.
Yakni sebab-sebab yang menjadikan kamu dapat hidup di dunia, seperti air, udara, tumbuhan, hewan, dan berbagai sumber daya alam.
Padahal Dia telah mengaruniakan kepadamu berbagai nikmat.
