أَوَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
Do they not look into the realm of the heavens and the earth and everything that Allah has created and [think] that perhaps their appointed time has come near? So in what statement hereafter will they believe?

(He it is Who did create you from a single soul…) [7:189] up to (… but are themselves created) [7:191].Said Mujahid: “Initially, all the children of Adam and Eve died in their infancy. And so, Satan whispered tothem: 'If a boy is born to you, call him 'Abd al-Harith [the slave of al-Harith]'. The name of Satan was, priorto that, al-Harith. Adam and Eve did as he asked them to do, hence the words of Allah, exalted is He: (Butwhen He gave unto them aright, they ascribed to Him partners in respect of that which He had giventhem…)”.
أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُواْ فِى مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَـوَتِ وَالاٌّرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَى أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
(185. Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created; and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message after this will they then believe)Allah asks, those who denied faith, did they not contemplate about Our Ayat in the kingdom of the heavens and earth and what was created in them Do they not contemplate about all this and learn lessons from it, so that they are certain that He Who has all this, has no equal or rival All this was made by He Who Alone deserves the worship and sincere religion, so that they might have faith in Him and believe in His Messenger, all the while turning to Allah's obedience, rejecting any rivals to Him, and rejecting idols. They should be warned that their lifes may have reached their end, and they, thus, face their demise while disbelievers, ending up in Allah's torment and severe punishment. Allah said,
فَبِأَىِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
(In what message after this will they then believe) Allah says, what more warnings, and discouragements should compel them to believe, if the warnings and threats that Muhammad brought them from Allah in His Book do not compel them to do so Allah said next,

Manusia apabila memperhatikan kerajaan langit dan bumi, tentu akan memperoleh dalil yang menunjukkan keesaan Allah dan sifat-sifat sempurna yang dimiliki-Nya. Demikian pula apabila mereka melihat salah satu ciptaan Allah, maka di sana dia akan mendapatkan dalil terhadap ilmu Allah, kekuasaan-Nya, hikmah-Nya, luas rahmat dan ihsan-Nya, serta menunjukkan berlakunya kehendak Allah dan menunjukkan sifat-sifat-Nya yang agung yang sesungguhnya menunjukkan bahwa Allah sendiri yang mencipta dan mengatur alam semesta. Hal ini sudah barang tentu mengharuskan agar Dia (Allah) saja yang disembah.
Hendaknya mereka memperhatikan keadaan mereka, karena boleh jadi maut datang kepada mereka secara tiba-tiba ketika mereka sedang lengah, sehingga mereka tidak mampu mengejar hal yang telah luput.
Apakah berita dusta dan sesat yang mereka percayai ataukah berita yang benar ini (Al Qurâan)? Akan tetapi, walau bagaimana pun juga orang yang disesatkan Allah sudah tidak ada jalan lagi untuk menunjukinya sebagaimana diterangkan pada ayat selanjutnya.
