فَإِذَا انْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ
37. And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -
إِذَا رُجَّتِ الْأَرْضُ رَجًّا
4. When the earth is shaken with convulsion
وَبُسَّتِ الْجِبَالُ بَسًّا
5. And the mountains are broken down, crumbling
فَكَانَتْ هَبَاءً مُنْبَثًّا
6. And become dust dispersing.
وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً
14. And the earth and the mountains are lifted and leveled with one blow -
وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ
16. And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm.
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ
8. On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ
9. And the mountains will be like wool,
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا
19. And Allah has made for you the earth an expanse
وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ
9. And the sun and the moon are joined,
